Maybank launches maiden asian financial bond fund

Maybank Asset Management Sdn Bhd recently launched the Maybank Financial Institutions Income Asia Fund, its maiden Asian Financial bond fund. The fund provides access to diversified invesment portfolios by investing in high-quality, invesment-grade financial institutions bond.

It is a fixed-income fund that invests in foreign currency bond, primarily in the US dollar, as well as in ringgit denominated bonds issued by financial institutions in Asia. The fund adopts an active management strategy and aims to invest primarily ain US dollar Asian financial institution invesments. With its exposure to 11 countries and 61 issuers, it can recieve a BBB rating.

The Maybank Financial Institutions Income Asia Fund is available at all Maybank branches nationwide. The minimum invesment for the fund is RM10,000.
